We run skill zones with kids to introduce them to all the core skills needed to succeed in the sports we offer. They look deeper into each skill and offer the children a chance to practice them in a fun and competitive environment with expert coaches there to guide them every step of the way.

Sports covered include Rugby, Football, Netball, Tennis, Cricket, Rounders, Athletics, Archery and Dodgeball

Game zones are a chance for the kids to put into practice what they have learned in a game situation.

This involves competitive matchplay, teamwork and skill development with games being tailored to each skill that is being taught.

Each week we conclude the camp by holding a championship event on the final day with teams consisting of kids across all age groups.

We use everything we’ve learnt during week with groups winning points for match results, collective teamwork, sportsmanship, trying hard, leadership and kindness.

This is a good opportunity for our younger ones to learn off our older kids and for them in turn to display more mature sporting and

teamwork skills.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Drop-off at 9-9:15am and Pick up at 3:30pm

  • Each child does two different Sports each day: 1 Sport before lunch and 1 Sport after lunch.

  • Each child gets to choose between two Sports in the morning and afternoon. We are keen that kids have tried out all sports by the end of the week.

  • At the end of the day we keep up to 20 mins free for kids to choose what they would like to do. Age groups mix during this session. They can pick if they want to play a game of football, ask for some extra help in their sprints, or if they’re feeling more worn out do some colouring or indoor activities.

  • We appreciate kids do get tired sometimes outside of breaks, we always have a coach available for those that need rest when they can do colouring, sports quizzes, wordsearches, boardgames or make up their own Sports Game (which we then put into practise through the week), or just have a bit of a chit chat.
