Junior Coach Programme

Helping older kids grow into

confident young leaders

Our Junior Coach pathway is designed to grow older children aged 10* to 13 life skills through sport.

It helps them build confidence, communication, problem-solving and coaching skills in a fun, practical and supportive environment.

Perfect for children who still love sport but are ready for a new challenge.

Note: For children to get the most benefit from the programme, bookings must be for a minimum of 3 days.

For kids that are ready for more responsibility, our Junior Coach Programme builds confidence and leadership through sport, with close support from our senior coaches.

*from summer holidays after they have finished Year 5.

frequently Asked Questions

How old does my child need to be?

Children from the summer at the end of year 5 are able to join the programme.

Can I book my child onto the programme for a single day at a time?

For a child to be included on the junior programme, they must be booked for a minimum of 3 days

How does my child progress through the levels?

Children progress at their own pace. We get to know them well on camp, so we can help them grow in a way that builds confidence without pushing too far, too soon. We will let you know when we think your child is ready to progress to the next stage.

Will my child still get to play the sports?

Yes, the Junior Coaches will still be involved in playing sports. We aim to spend about 45mins to an 1hour each day dedicating time to discussing and practising each of the skills before they can put them into practise on the field!

My child is in year 6 but they don't want to be a junior coach and would prefer to just play sports, is that ok?

Yes, we are very happy for kids to opt out of doing the programme if they just want to focus on their sports development instead.

Are places Limited?

Yes, places on the programme are very limited. This is intentional so that every Junior Coach receives a high level of support, guidance and mentoring from our senior coaching team.
